Server problem? Installation problem? File Problem? plz help

I replaced the cooresponding items in my RAN folder with the Destiny files. When I try to open the client using either the destiny launcher or the Ran launcher, it works but at the screen where u select chars it is black screen.
I looked in the help sections of this forum and i still do not know what is wrong. Please help~

I am using English RAN files, if that helps...
