why im lag?

for two days i had not leveled up (which i normally i have 3 level-up a day) because of the lag. i got a couple of questions:
1: is everyone lagging not just me?
2: is the lag geographically related?
3:is the lag cause by so many players playing at the same time?

im not too laggy from 2am to 5 am
